Things keep getting better for Nigeria international Samuel Chukwueze, who on Tuesday was named in LaLiga Team of the Week following yet another impressive performance for Villarreal over the weekends, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 23-year-old was the only Yellow Submarine player included in the Team of the Week which is in a 4-4-2 formation.
Chukwueze was in fine form as Quique Setién’s men claimed all three points after a 3-2 win against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu with the Nigerian scoring a brace.

The 23-year-old, a part of the squad that won the Europa League in 2021 after defeating Manchester United in the final, has been very influential for Villarreal this season, scoring 13 goals and assisting 11 across all competitions this season.
Meanwhile, Girona’s Paulo Gazzaniga was deemed the best goalkeeper in LaLiga after matchday 28.
In defense, the Catalans duo Martinez Arnau and David Lopez also made the Team of the Week after putting up an impressive display to keep a clean sheet in their 0-0 against city rivals Barcelona. Atletico’s Mario Hermoso and Osasuna’s Manu Sanchez completed the four-man defense.
The midfield had Abdessamad Ezzalzouli, Samu Costa, Mikel Merino and Chukwueze.
Vedat Muriqi and Chris Ramos got the nod upfront to complete the best 11.
