Barcelona coach Xavi was furious with referee Slavko Vincic in yesterday’s 1-0 loss to Inter and he appeared to suggest that the official had been paid off during the match.

The Catalan side were left with an extremely bitter taste in their mouthes after the defeat at San Siro on Tuesday, believing that Pedri’s goal shouldn’t have been ruled out and that a penalty should’ve been given after an apparent handball by Denzel Dumfries in the dying minutes of the match.

Xavi was clearly infuriated when speaking to the media after the defeat, calling it an ‘outrage’.

As highlighted by Eurosport IT, Xavi’s anger wasn’t limited to just words and at one point during the match he appeared to do a ‘paid off’ gesture towards the referee, suggesting that Inter had influenced the decisions.

The moment wasn’t caught on the broadcast but has since gone viral on social media.

Xavi was booked for his touchline anger during the match and Barcelona are now ready to report referee Vincic to UEFA, believing his poor officiating cost them the match.
