While highlighting the qualities of Senegal and Bayern Munich forward, Sadio Mane, former Super Eagles head coach Sunday Oliseh has backed the former Liverpool star to shine at the 2022 World Cup later this year.

Oliseh was full of praises for the reigning CAF Player of The Year after he led Senegal to a 2-0 victory over Bolivia last weekend.

After being heavily involved in the build-up to the first goal, Mane scored the second goal of the encounter to put the Africans in a commanding position.

Prior to the window break, the Senegal international struggled to find the back of the net for Bayern.

Mane scored in four straight games as he started life at the Allianz Arena brightly, but has since failed to score in his last six games, including two in the UEFA Champions League.

After ending his goals drought in style to bag his 34th goal for the national team and his first for Teranga Lions since August, Oliseh believes the 30-year-old will be a force to reckon with when the World Cup begins in Qatar.

“Sadio Mane is just the complete package! Hardworking, humble, disciplined and has been, in my opinion,” Oliseh wrote on his Twitter handle.

“The most consistent African superstar for the past 10 years since I saw him shine at Red Bull Salzburg.

“Look out for Senegal-led Sadio Mane at the World Cup.”

Up next for Mane and Senegal is another friendly game against World Cup-bound Iran on Tuesday (today).
