Members of the the Manchester United squad have indicated they want Cristiano Ronaldo to leave the club.
Ronaldo’s future at Old Trafford has been uncertain after the player expressed a desire to depart in a bid to play Champions League football.
Although his agent Jorge Mendes is working to find Ronaldo a new club, a number of European sides have turned down the chance to sign Ronaldo.
According to ESPN, the news of Ronaldo’s desire to leave United was met by joy from a number of his teammates, with the 37-year-old believed to be a source of friction in the squad.
The Portugal international has only started one game this season, and continues to be linked with a move away before the transfer window shuts.
Mendes is still hopeful of finding Ronaldo a new club, with a loan move to Sporting Lisbon or Napoli currently viewed as possible options.
