According to English media platform, Daily Mail, several Manchester United fans have urged manager Erik ten Hag and the board to make the signing of Nigeria international Victor Osimhen top priority next summer.

The 24-year-old scored a stunning volley against Roma on Sunday from inside the box after controlling the ball with his head and knee.

Luciano Spalletti’s side went on to win the game 2-1 after a dramatic late winner from Giovanni Simeone, taking them 13 points clear at the top of Serie A.

The Super Eagles forward leads the Seria A top scorers charts with 14 goals in 19 appearances and looks set to win the Golden Boot Award if he stays fit.

The fans took to their social media account to beg the manager to sign the former Lille star.

MUFCizzle @mufcizzle7 noted that the arrival of the Nigerian striker would help Manchester United in their Premier League title chase and is eager to see the Nigeria international at Old Trafford.

“This lad is going to bring the title home for Napoli and should be the number one priority this summer by a country mile.”

Another fan DocMUFC @Doc_Joshi called Osimhen’s finish against Roma ‘deadly’ and compared the striker to Red Devils legend Ruud Van Nistelrooy.

@Doc_Joshi said, “Oh my world. This finish reminds me a bit of Ruud. Absolutely deadly.”

A third United supporter Cp@Mr_MuFc1987 wrote, “This is why I want this guy.”

Ten Hag’s side have been linked with Osimhen with reports earlier this month claiming they were looking at a £100m price tag for him.

With the crucial goals that increased their lead over the pursuing party of 19 Serie A teams with 13 points, Napoli proceeded on their path to winning the Serie A for the first time in more than three decades.

Napoli’s title run stayed on course: 53 points after 20 matches and 13 points clear of second-place Inter.
