Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag says does not want to see Cristiano Ronaldo again at Manchester United.
The coach has informed United’s club management that the Portuguese no longer has to play for the Red Devils. Ten Hag believes that Ronaldo has gone too far in his interview with Piers Morgan. Sources report that to ESPN.
Ten Hag is said to have already had a meeting with United owner Joel Glazer. The 52-year-old Ten Hag has indicated that Ronaldo is no longer welcome as far as he is concerned. Ten Hag would be disappointed in the hard-hitting statements of the Portuguese, who, according to him, has no respect for the club and the trainer.
The club management seems to take Ten Hag’s advice to heart, as they are reportedly already in the process of seeking legal advice on how to deal with this situation. The 37-year-old Ronaldo has a contract until the end of the season, with which he earns an astronomical salary (640,000 euros per week).
Earlier, Metro reported that Manchester United will impose a fine of at least 1.1 million euros for misconduct by Ronaldo. In a statement, the club said: “The club will issue a response once all the facts have been established. Our focus remains on preparing for the second half of the season and continuing the momentum, faith and solidarity that is being built among the players, manager, staff and fans.”
Ten Hag previously removed Ronaldo from the selection after the game against Tottenham Hotspur. The attacker refused to fill in at the time and strode into the catacombs early.
