Chelsea not giving up on Fofana
Having announced the £62m signing of Marc Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea have now set their sights on highly-rated Leicester centre-back Wesley Fofana. The Blues are understood to have seen a second offer of £70m rejected by the Foxes, but there’s a belief that Thomas Tuchel’s side may even go as a high as £85m in order to land their man.
Werner closing in on Chelsea exit
Timo Werner is closing on a Chelsea exit following reports that he is on the verge of re-joining RB Leipzig on a permanent basis.
The German forward has struggled to assert himself in the Premier League having been so prolific in the Bundesliga. The 26-year-old now appears set to return to his homeland with his former employers having seemingly been deemed surplus to requirements by Blues boss Thomas Tuchel.
Werner was initially expcted to rejoin Leipzig on loan this summer, however, according to Fabrizio Romano, the striker will in fact be departing Stamford Bridge for good.
Man United see Arnautovic offer ‘rejected’
Manchester United have had an offer for Marko Arnautovic rejected by Serie A side Bologna, according to reports.
The Austria international has emerged as a surprising transfer target for the Red Devils amid the uncertainty over Cristiano Ronaldo’s future, and is a familiar face to Erik ten Hag having previously been managed by the Red Devils boss at FC Twente in the Netherlands.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, United have seen an offer worth £7million to £8m turned down by the Serie A side.
Elsewhere, United are still eagerly awaiting a positive outcome from their Frenkie de Jong saga, with his future still up in the air due to deferred wage payments owed by Barcelona. The Red Devils are also on the hunt for attacking firepower after Anthony Martial’s latest ill-timed injury.
Sesko ‘leaning towards’ United
Benjamin Sesko is ‘leaning towards accepting an offer to leave Red Bull Salzburg’ amid strong interest from Manchester United, according to reports.
Erik ten Hag wants a new forward to arrive at Old Trafford by the time the summer transfer window shuts on September 1.
And it’s the 19-year-old who is in the Dutchman’s sights having impressed during his time in Austria so far.
Spurs respond to Roma’s Zaniolo demands
Tottenham have reportedly accepted they will have to shell out in excess of £42million in order to land Roma star Nicolo Zaniolo this summer, or seek to reach a loan with an obligation to buy agreement for the Italian winger.
However, Antonio Conte could look to exploit Jose Mourinho’s interest in four Spurs stars as the notion of a number of ‘separate negotiations’ has been floated.
Roma boss Mourinho is understood to be an admirer of Spurs quartet Japhet Tanganga, Tanguy Ndombele, Harry Winks and Giovani Lo Celso and the Giallorossi have not excluded the possibility of acting on their interest in the four Spurs outcasts.

Sevilla sign Isco
Sevilla have announced that they have agreed a deal in principle to sign former Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
The playmaker departed Los Blancos on a free transfer at the end of last campaign after nine seasons in the Spanish capital.
The 30-year-old made over 350 appearance for Real during his trophy-laden time with the club, which included three La Liga triumphs and five Champions League crowns.
