Fans are set to be treated to six potentially explosive boxing bouts as 12 boxers vie for the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy and a cash prize of N1m at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos on Tuesday.

Scheduled for the night are four national challenge bouts, one national and one sub-regional title bouts.

One of the title bouts has national welterweight title holder, Taiwo ‘Gentle Boy’ Olowu, faceoff with Alidu Sulemana of Ghana for the West African Boxing Union super welterweight title.

Sulemana has a record of 10 wins and eight knockouts from his 10 professional fights, while Olowu, has a record of 15 wins and one defeat from his 16 professional fights.

In the other title fight, Sifon ‘Best’ Iwatt and Saheed Azeez battle for the national super flyweight title. The fight provides both pugilists the opportunity to clinch the first title of their professional careers.

The night will also feature a grudge national challenge fight involving national female cruiserweight champion, Bolatito ‘Black Tito’ Oluwole, and Blessing Abisoye.

In October 2022, Abisoye lost to ‘Black Tito’ via a unanimous decision, setting the stage for a grudge match against her opponent, who claimed the national title at GOtv Boxing Night 29. Abisoye has a record of one win and one defeat from her two professional fights, while ‘Black Tito’ has won all of her eight professional bouts, with a record of five knockouts.

In the other bouts of the night, Arabambi Ojo and Ibrahim ‘Golden Boy’ Opeyemi will square up in a national bantamweight challenge bout; Ayanfe Adeoye will face Ahmed Ganiyu in a national light welterweight category bout, while Abdulafeez ‘Big Name’ Osoba will square up against Christopher Ucheji in the national super welterweight category.

The best boxer on the night will take home the Mojisola Ogunsanya Memorial Trophy and N1m cash prize.
