PSG confident of signing Inter defender Skriniar

According to Le Parisien, PSG are confident of signing Inter defender Milan Skriniar as a free agent, but his transfer in January is unlikely.

The Slovakia international has reportedly informed the Nerazzurri that he will not sign a contract extension, leaving the club as a free agent in June.

PSG had held talks with Inter over the summer but were unable to match the Nerazzurri’s €70m asking price.

Skriniar had agreed to sign a €9m-a-year deal with PSG, while Inter only offered him €6.5m per season plus add-ons.

According to Le Parisien, PSG are increasingly confident of signing Skriniar for nothing over the summer. The 27-year-old can already sign a pre-contract agreement with the Ligue 1 giants.

However, according to the French paper, Skriniar’s move to the Parc des Princes in January is unlikely as PSG won’t spend more than €10-15m for a new signing, while Inter’s asking price is still high despite Skriniar’s contract expiring in six months.
