Victor Osimhen’s agent Roberto Calenda, has dispelled reports linking his player to Manchester United this summer, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Multiple sources, including Sky Sport Italia, Tuttosport and Rai, claim Jorge Mendes – Ronaldo’s agent is working on a deal to bring the Portuguese to Naples and Osimhen to Manchester United.

They also reported that the Italian club, Napoli, have demanded €120m plus Cristiano Ronaldo on a season loan with 75 per cent of his salary paid by the Red Devils to get Osimhen this summer.

But Calenda revealed that his client (Osimhen) isn’t entirely convinced of joining the Red Devils as the Nigerian striker is keen on playing in the UEFA Champions League this season.

He is also convinced he can further develop under Luciano Spalletti this season.

“No negotiations in progress, no exchanges,” Calenda tweeted on Friday.

“Victor Osimhen is a Napoli player and wants to play the Champions League with his Napoli after winning it on the pitch with pride together with the coach and teammates.”

The Partenopei have been drawn against Dutch champions Ajax, Glasgow Rangers and Liverpool in Group A of the competition.

Bayern Munich to Manchester United, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Atletico Madrid have all been linked with the 23-year-old striker who has notched 30 goals in 64 appearances for Napoli in three seasons.

Last season, Osimhen scored 14 goals and recorded five assists in 27 appearances in Serie A. He has scored twice in two games for Napoli this season.
