Embattled PSG manager Christophe Galtier has been tipped to be the ideal man that will lead Napoli next season.
The Parthenopeans are in search of a manager following speculations about the exit of Luciano Spalletti, who guided Napoli to their first Scudetto in over 30 years.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, as reported by Napoli Magazine, Napoli President, Aurelio De Laurentiis, may hand Galtier the job in a bid to keep Nigeria international Victor Osimhen, who is seriously linked to a summer exit.
The 56-year-old French tactician, who coached Osimhen at Lille in the 2019/20 season, is favoured to get the job at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium as he enjoyed a cordial relationship with the Super Eagles striker.
“Christophe Galtier, former coach of Lille, Lyon and currently at PSG, will agree with the proposal by Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis, as quoted by Napoli Magazine.
“It is only a matter of a short time before Paris Saint-Germain formalises his separation.
“Therefore, in order for Galtier to possibly accept Napoli, a certain temporal concordance is also necessary between the choice of De Laurentiis and the conclusion of the talks with the Parisian management before being dismissed.”
