Onyekuru undergoes Al-Feiha medical in Saudi

Nigerian winger Henry Onyekuru has undergone his medical at Saudi club Al-Feiha ahead of his €5m move from Adana Demirspor, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Onyekuru is the first Nigerian to join the long list of players who have made the switch to oil-rich Saudi Arabia from European clubs in the current transfer window.
The Saudi Arabia League has become a new haven for footballers after Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo made the move to Al-Nassr.
He was followed by his former Real Madrid teammate, Karim Benzema, the 2022 Ballon d’Or winner who signed a three-year contract with Al-Ittihad in June.
Just a few days later, fellow Frenchman N’Golo Kante joined the same Jeddah-based club, also on a three-year deal.
Not long after, Roberto Fabinho arrived from Liverpool, joining Al-Ahli.
Still buzzing from his historic FA Cup semi-final hat-trick for Manchester City in April, Algeria captain Riyad Mahrez has signed for four years with Jeddah-based Al-Ahli, a transfer estimated at €35m.
The latest coup for the Saudis is Sadio Mane, the Sengalese star who signed with Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr for a reported annual salary of €40m plus €10m in result-based bonuses.
Onyekuru touched down in Saudi Arabia on Thursday for his medical with the top division side ahead of his exit from the Turkish side just two months after his loan deal from Olympiacos was made permanent.
Last season, he scored eight goals in 30 appearances acorss all competitions and he would be keen to improve the tally in the Saudi Pro League.
