Onuachu ranked 19th in IFFHS goalscorers list

The International Federation of Football History & Statistics has ranked Nigeria international Paul Onuachu as one of the best goal poachers,

Onuachu is ranked 19th and has the most goals of any Nigerian player, scoring 59 goals from January 2021 to December 31, 2022.

The Genk striker is the only Nigeria player in the top 49. the top ranking of the world’s top goal-scorers.

Polish striker Robert Lewandoski tops the chart with 111 goals, followed by French star Kylian Mbappe with 107 goals and Norwegian forward Erling Haaland has 95 goals.

The 28-year-old ranked above Senegal and current African Footballer of the Year Sadio Mane (26), Argentina and Inter striker Lautaro Martínez (29), and Uruguay forward Darwin Núñez (41).

The Nigeria international has been in prolific form for Genk this season and has scored 14 goals in 16 league appearances for the Limburgers in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League.

The former Ebedei youth player has scored 71 goals in 100 games with six assists since he arrived at the club in 2019 from FC Midtjylland.

In the 2020/21 season, Onuachu scored an astonishing 33 goals as Genk finished second place in the Jupiler League but the Super Eagles forward claimed the Golden Shoe award, becoming the first African player to claim the prestigious award.
