Enyimba striker Chukwuemeka Obioma, who emerged as the league’s top scorer with 16 goals last season has been nominated for the Player of The Season award alongside Remo Stars goalkeeper Kayode Bankole and Rivers United left-back Ebube Duru at the Nigeria Professional Football League End of The Season award.
This year, the League Bloggers Awards ceremony will be held August 22 at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos, with 11 main categories of awards to be handed out.
Trio Monday Odigie of Bendel Insurance, Daniel Ogunmodede of Remo Stars and title-winning Enyimba manager Finidi George have all been nominated in the NPFL Coach of The Season category.
“The League Bloggers Awards is thrilled to announce that as preparations enter the final stages for the start of the 2023/24 Nigeria Premier Football League season, it will look to begin the start of the new season by celebrating the outstanding players from the 2022/23 league season,” LBA said in a statement.
A corporate organization, as well as a state government, will be recognised for their positions in the success of the season, LBA added.
