Nigerian midfielder, Kelechi Nwakali, has been rated the best passer of the ball in the Spanish Segunda division, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

This is according to the official website of the Spanish LaLiga.

The Ponferradina midfielder has made the most passes in the Segunda Division – 494 – completing 428 of them with an average of 70 passes a game.

This is 22 passes more than Eric Curbelo, who plays for Las Palmas. Curbelo has 472 passes, while in third position is Eibar’s Arbilla with 458 passes.

Zaragoza’s Manu Molina is in fourth place with 442 passes while Nwakali’s teammate, Pascanu, has chalked up 429 passes so far this season after seven games.

Nwakali, who has one assist so far this term is also the clear leader defensively for his club as he has won the most balls for them.

The former Arsenal player is getting his career back on track after his contract with Huesca was terminated last season.

His new club, Ponferradina, are currently 13th on the table with 10 points from seven matches.
