NSF: Kaduna, Ogun set up volleyball final clash

The Kaduna State volleyball team and their Ogun counterparts will faceoff in the men’s volleyball final on Friday (today) at the National Sports Festival in Asaba, Delta State.

Kaduna made it to the final after they breezed past Rivers, winning all three sets 3-0 and dominating the second with 25-23, 25-13, and 25-19 in the first semi-final played at the outdoor court of the JJ Okocha Stadium in Ogwashi-Uku on Thursday.

Ogun also made short work of Kano Pillars with another 3-0 win (25-10, 25-19, 25-10) to qualify for the men’s final.

In the women’s event, Edo and hosts Delta will renew their rivalry in a potentially explosive final clash today.

Edo beat Oyo 3-0 (36-34, 25-19, 25-19) to secure their spot in the final, while Delta faced a tricky test against Rivers but won 3-1 (25-19, 19-25, 25-13, 25-19) in the second semi-final of at the JJ Okocha Stadium in Ogwashi-Uku.
