Owner of Doma United Sulaiman Umar insists his side are no pushovers after they were drawn in Group B of the abridged NPFL 2022/23 season, alongside nine other teams on Wednesday.

The season begins January 8, 2023.

Newly promoted Doma were drawn alongside established NPFL campaigners Niger Tornadoes, Wikki Tourist, Lobi Stars, Rivers United, Abia Warriors, Enugu Rangers, Sunshine Stars, Bayelsa United and Dakkada FC.

The Gombe-based side will kickstart their debut season with a clash at home at the Pantami Stadium, Gombe against Sunshine Stars of Akure, while their second game is away at Niger Tornadoes.

Reacting to the draw, Umar said, “Doma United are in the NPFL to compete and no team is a pushover. Doma United are not pushovers.

“Our first game is against Sunshine Stars and we believe we can start strongly at home by winning our first game of the season.”
