NOC mourns late Guardian photojournalist Kuti

The Nigeria Olympic Committee has commiserated with The Guardian Newspapers following the demise of its Photo Editor, Femi Adebeshin Kuti, 57, who died in the early hours of January 6.
Kuti died at the Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, Ogun State after a brief illness.
A statement signed by the NOC Public Relations Officer, Tony Nezianya, read, “Kuti was a committed journalist, who used his expertise in photojournalism to promote sports and the activities of the (Olympic) Movement.

“During his lifetime, he covered many international Games including the 2002 Commonwealth Games in Manchester, England; the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne, Australia; the African Games in Abuja 2003 and in Algiers in 2007.
“May the Almighty Allah accept his soul.”
The late Kuti has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
