Ikoyi Golf Community Nigeria Association, owners of the prestigious Nigeria Cup, a week-long golf tournament put in place to celebrate the nation’s Independence anniversary, has thanked the sponsors of the annual competition for their support over the years.
Chairman of the association, Felix Majekodunmi, who sent the ‘Thank You’ message, said the support the tournament enjoyed from the partnerships had helped in sustaining the competition, which marked its 25th anniversary this year.
He said, “All the corporate outfits deserve commendation for their support for the Nigeria Cup.”
He also gave kudos to members of IGCNA board for their support and encouragement, while also thanking the committees put in place to organise this year’s Nigeria Cup for a job well done.
“We have been very lucky to have Gen Victor Odeka (retd.), Ayinde Sanni, Frank Gboneme, Mike Agboola and Emmanuel Omuojine on the board of IGCNA. We thank them also for their guidance,” Majekodunmi added
Mike Makinde won the 2022 the net category of the 2022 Nigeria Cup, while Remi Olukoya won the gross category for men.
