Omonia Nicosia media officer Andreas Dimitriou has denied that the club have received an official offer for Super Eagles goalkeeper Francis Uzoho amid interest from several clubs.

Transfer guru, Luca Bendoni earlier reported that MLS side, Colorado Rapids and French Liqui side Toulouse [Ligue 1] are reportedly interested in signing the Nigeria international.

Dimitriou however admitted that clubs are interested in the services of Uzoho but revealed that the club have not received any official bid for the goalkeeper.

“It’s logical that there should be interest. He’s a very bad goalkeeper, he’s at a good age and he’s also international. But we don’t have anything in front of us. He is an important player for the community, so we should have something very good in front of us to discuss.” as reported by Sigmalive.

The 24-year-old contract with Nicosia ends at the end of this season and the player will be open to potential transfer opportunities.

The former Deportivo La Coruña has been in fine form for the Cyprus side and has made 14 league appearances with eight clean sheets in the Protathlima Cyta league in the 2022/23 season.

Nicosia are currently fourth on the table in the Cypriot first division league with 34 points from 18 matches and will travel to Ammochostos Stadium where they play Nea Salamis on Sunday, January 22.
