Former Manchester United defender Gary Neville has blamed Nigerian striker Kelechi Iheanacho for the Red Devils’ third goal in their 3-0 victory over Leicester City on Sunday.
The 26-year-old Super Eagles striker was in the starting role for the Foxes in their away Premier League match against United last Sunday.
The United legend claimed Iheanacho should have done better in the build-up to Red Devil’s final goal against the Foxes, despite what seems like a foul by Lisandro Martinez.
But Neville said that Iheanacho should have been stronger, with the pundit believing there was no foul by the United defender.
“That third goal is such a good goal. Leicester complained about a potential foul on Iheanacho, I don’t think it was,” he told Sky Sports.
“I just thought Iheanacho had to do better.
“Iheanacho has got to do better than that, it’s about three or four times in the second half that it just bounced off him. He’s stronger than Martinez, but doesn’t show it.”
Two goals from Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho sealed the comprehensive win for the former English champions.
The loss to United was Leicester’s first loss in five games.
Iheanacho would look to help his side return to winning ways when they play Arsenal in a potentially pulsating encounter.
