South Korea top Group C after beating Canada 2-0 on Friday.

In a video call, Musa congratulated the girls and encouraged them ahead of today’s game.

“Keep on making us proud and I promise you girls a very big surprise, ” Musa said in a video chat.

Today’s clash between the Nigerians and their Korean foes will determine who tops the group.

Two-time finalists, the Falconets, scaled the hurdles presented by the Central African Republic, Congo, Cameroon and Senegal, winning six of seven matches (they only drew with Cameroon in Douala) to be eligible to fly Africa’s flag once more at the finals in Central America.

At the 2014 edition in Canada, Nigeria topped a group that had South Korea, who they beat 2-1. France finished in third place in the same competition as Nigeria ended up runners-up.
