French Ligue 1 club, OGC Nice have announced the signing of Terem Moffi from Lorient on a six-month loan deal, with a mandatory purchase option included in the contract.
The deal was confirmed, Tuesday, and OGC Nice have shared images of the player, bringing an end to one of the protracted transfers this window in Ligue 1.
“We are delighted that Terem Moffi’s determination to sign for OGC Nice combined with ours could lead to this conclusion. The support of our owner has also been invaluable,” the club wrote on its official website.
Lorient will receive €30 million broken down to €25million outright and €5million in add-ons.
The Nigerian rejected a move to England with West Ham and Southampton reported to have tussled for his signature.
The Rivera club fought off strong competition from another Ligue 1 club, Olympic Marseille to sign the Nigerian striker.
Moffi joined Lorient from Belgian Pro League club, KV Kortrijk in 2020 in a deal worth €8m.
The 23-year-old scored 35 goals in 90 games for Les Merlus including 12 this season.
