Romelu Lukaku is much happier after his Inter return and has no plans to go back to Chelsea when his loan deal ends next year, reports detail.

The 29-year-old Belgian forward did not have a positive season last year with the Blues following his €113m move to West London. Lukaku only scored eight goals in 26 Premier League appearances, failing to show his best amid endless waves of criticism. After a tough campaign, he returned to Inter in the summer in a one-year €8m loan deal, which doesn’t contain a buy option.

As detailed by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Lukaku has rediscovered his happiness in the city of Milan and is overjoyed to be back at Inter again. The Nerazzurri will renew his loan deal with Chelsea next summer, which should be confirmed regardless of the results this season.

The strong relationship between Blues president Todd Boehly and Roc Nation, the company that looks after Lukaku’s interests, has been ongoing for years. The company was founded by Jay Z and he’s brought multiple players to the LA Dodgers over the years, creating almost $20 billion worth of business partnerships.

The Belgian forward’s season hasn’t started in the best way, with the player missing around a month of action due to muscle issues, but he’s aiming to return in time for the upcoming clash against Jose Mourinho’s Roma on October 1. Medical tests early next week will make his physical condition clear and hopes are high in the Lombardy capital.
