Ademola Lookman scored for a third game in a row for Atalanta who defeated Sassuolo 2-1 on Saturday.

The Nigerian winger shrugged off a defender before cutting inside to curl left-footed into the far top corner to rab the winner at the start of the second half.

The goal took his tally in the Serie A to four in 10 games.

In Spain, Super Falcons forward, Rasheedat Ajibade, was in sensational form for Atletico Madrid scoring four goals for her side who returned to winning ways with a 5-0 mauling of Huelva in a Spanish Primera División de la Liga de Fútbol Femenino fixture on Saturday.

Ajibade scored in the 28 minutes to put Atletico ahead into the break.

In the second half, the Nigerian scored her second of the game after she finished off a pass from Sheila Garcia in the 51st minute.

Brazilian striker Ludmila scored the third for Atletico Madrid in the 70th minute from the penalty spot.

The former FC Robo star completed her hat trick in the 88th minute and added her fourth in additional time.

In France, in-form Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi on Saturday while in action for Lorient who missed the chance to go top of Ligue 1 after being held to a goalless draw by nine-man Reims at the Stade du Moustoir.

The 23-year-old forward who has scored eight league goals this season twisted his ankle in a challenge with Yunis Abdelhamid and Azor Matusiwa, and made way for Ibrahima Koné midway through the half.

The game was his 11th game of the season. He left the pitch without a single attempt on goal but created a chance and made one key pass.

In the English Championship, Elijah Adebayo scored his third goal of the season as his club Luton Town thrashed visitors Queens Park Rangers 3-1 at home in the Championship.

The big striker rose high to head home the opener for Luton.

His countryman Leon Balogun, only lasted 14 minutes for Queens Park Rangers in the game, suffering an injury that saw him replaced in the opening stages.

The Nigerian defender who started at right-back in the absence of Ethan Laird was hurt as he landed awkwardly in the opening stages and he had to be replaced by Osman Kakay.

In the Saudi Arabia Professional League, Odion Ighalo, bagged his fourth goal of the season as Al Hilal survived a scare to defeat Al Taee 3-2 in a thrilling affair.

The win ended a run of three matches without a goal for the Nigerian.
