Leicester City supporters voiced out their frustrations after Ademola Lookman put in a starring performance against Juventus on Sunday.

Lookman scored twice and assisted another goal as Atalanta drew 3-3 with Juventus in Serie A. The winger was on loan at Leicester City last season and the club had the chance to sign him in the summer for a figure around £12m to £14m but rejected the Nigerian.

His form for Atalanta this season — 11 goals and four assists in 18 Serie A games — has attracted attention, with his performance against Juventus hammering home how much Leicester are crying out for a winger this month.

Expressing disappointment over the failure to make Lookman a Leicester player, a Foxes supporter, @Bobbbb__ wrote, “Can’t believe we didn’t sign Lookman when we had the chance.”

@JackJ_ also added, “Two goals and one assist for Ademola Lookman away at Juventus. That’s six goals in his last three games in Italy. Leicester didn’t snap Leipzig’s hand off to sign him for £12m.”

Another Twitter user, @LukeThorne6 wrote, “Lookman is at it again for Atalanta, another two goals and assist against Juventus. How did we let him get away? Biggest mistake for #lcfc in the summer. All from RM when we are crying out for a winger. He was only £12m the bargain buy in Europe.”

“Lookman two goals and an assist not bad for £12m,” @ReeveTom tweeted.

Jaison96 simply said, “Why? @LCFC.”

wondering why Leicester failed to sign the winger, @MrDavKainth rhetorically asked, “Another Lookman goal! Why we didn’t sign him up I have no idea!”

@ABright99 wrote, “We didn’t try and keep hold of Lookman why!? He’s having a solid season in Serie A and player we are crying out for!”

Striking_Goald however asked the club management to resign the Nigerian.

“Leicester getting rid of Lookman, when he was good for us, is really distressing! I want him back Gasperini!” he tweeted.
