The Kano State House of Assembly on Monday directed the House Standing Committee to probe “the remote and immediate cause” of the dwindling fortunes of Kano Pillars FC and report back within two weeks.
The Speaker, Hamisu Chidari, while presiding over the session, directed the Committee on Sports to swing into action and report back to the House, within two weeks.
This followed matters of urgent public interest presented to the House by the Chairman, House Standing Committee and Member representing Rano Constituency, Ahmad Alhassan, to the House on Monday.

Kano Pillars, one of Nigeria’s foremost clubs, suffered a series of setbacks last season, forcing the Sai Masu Gida into relegation from the domestic topflight.
Some fans of Pillars, Audu Karas and Mansur Ibrahim Makani, expressed displeasure over the current state of the club, but commended the State House of Assembly for their commitment towards restoring the lost glory of the club.
