Erling Haaland’s first Premier League hat-trick helped Manchester City come back from behind to beat Crystal Palace 4-2 at the Etihad Stadium.
The visitors looked on course to win at Etihad Stadium for the second consecutive season when they led 2-0 at the break courtesy of a John Stones own goal and Joachim Andersen’s powerful header.
Eberechi Eze’s free-kick caused chaos and confusion in the box, with the ball ricocheting off a number of City players before going in off the unfortunate John Stones.
Eze was the provider from a set-piece once again as Palace doubled their lead in the 21st minute, finding Joachim Andersen from a corner, who powered home an emphatic first goal for the club with his head.
City halved the deficit in the 53rd minute through Bernardo Silva, who danced inside from the right and struck a low, left-footed effort in from the edge of the box.
Pep Guardiola’s men were back on level terms nine minutes later as Phil Foden collected an overhit cross and swept it back into the middle for Haaland to head home.
And their comeback was complete with 20 minutes remaining as Haaland finished off a slick passing move from a corner, turning in at the far post.
