Fans have taken to social media to hail Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala after she scored a goal as Barcelona Femeni demolished Villarreal 4-1 at the Ciudad Deportiva Villarreal CF on Sunday.
After failing to hit target in her first game of the 2022/23 season against Granadilla Tenerife last weekend at the Estadi Johan Cruyff, the African Women’s Player of The Year scored her first goal of the season in style in the rout.
A Mariona Caldentey nice through pass put the Nigerian through on goal and she wasted no time, as she chipped the ball from outside the box past the charging Villarreal keeper to make it 2-0 for Barcelona.
Some fans took to social media to hail the Nigeria international after her goal.
One user in particular with the username, @jhamex_ replied to @FCBfemeni’s post where they congratulated her on her goal asking that she be addressed with her deserved honorific, “I said you guys should always add “agba baller” don’t you listen???”
@__kemka wrote, “Asisat!!! My GOAT” adding a ‘starstruck’ emoji.
Another user, @Myka_veli commented, “Came back and has already equaled Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal tally for the season.”
There were over 20 more comments simply referring to the Golden Boot winner of the 2021/22 season as ‘Agba Baller’, which means legendary footballer.
