Ahead of the 2022/23 Nigeria Professional Football League season, two-time CAF Champions League winners, Enyimba, have confirmed the signing of attacking trio Sunday Okereke, Moses Omoduemuke and Ademola Adebambo.

Uncertainty has becloud the September 23 resumption date earlier set by the League Management Company, before it was last week declared illegal to organise the league matches.

Regardless of the current situation, the People’s Elephant continue to strengthen their squad as they prepare for their CAF Confederation Cup campaign.

Enyimba announced on their website that the club had signed Okereke from Nasarawa United, Omoduemuke from Shooting Stars and Adebambo from Ottasolo FC.

“Enyimba Football Club have made vital moves to strengthen the team’s attack with agreements already in place for the signings of three front men,” the club wrote.

“Centre forward Sunday Okereke will arrive from Nasarawa United, and will be joined by Moses Omoduemuke and Ademola Adebambo.

“Okereke comes with the dreaded reputation of being a goal-thirsty forward following an explosive half season spell with Nasarawa United last term. Omoduemuke joins from 3SC, where he established himself as a dependable force, scoring a goal and creating another as Enyimba lost 2-0 to 3SC in Ibadan last season.

“Former Kwara United forward, Ademola Adebambo, will also line up for Enyimba in the new season after reaching an agreement to join the People’s Elephant after a spell with Ottasolo FC.”

Enyimba are also hoping to win next season’s league title, having last done so in 2019.
