Super Eagles stars and Edo State Deputy Governor, Philip Shaibu, have received official invitations to the upcoming inaugural Nigeria-France Sports Award and Gala on October 23 in Paris.
The event is expected to be a gathering of both past and present Nigerian athletes, sports administrators and prominent media figures.
The special sports event aims to shine a spotlight on exceptional Nigerian athletes who have excelled in various sports on French soil. It’s a historic occasion being held in the capital city of France.
The Awards and Gala Night will be a platform for recognising exceptional sportsmen and women, as well as individuals who made significant contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria.
Shaibu’s invitation is in recognition and appreciation of his immense contributions to the development of sports in Nigeria, especially in football.
He is one of the few Nigerian VIPs so recognised.
