Nigerian striker, Adefolarin Durosinmi, has backed the Super Eagles to go all the way and win the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament in Ivory Coast after they edged the Elephants by a lone goal in Thursday’s Group A clash in Abidjan.
The Eagles bounced back from a disappointing AFCON opener against Equatorial Guinea which ended 1-1 to beat host Ivory Coast 1-0 to put them in a strong position for qualifying for the knockout stages.
The Ivorian fans were silenced when William Troost-Ekong converted a 54th-minute penalty after Victor Osimhen was fouled in the penalty box.
Despite relentless roars of support, the Elephants could not find an equaliser as the Eagles held on for a famous victory and revive their AFCON title hopes.

Durosinmi has scored six goals in 15 games this season across all competition in Thailand’s topflight league also believes striker Victor Osimhen will inspire the Eagles to a fourth AFCOn title.
The Napoli star scored in the Eagles’ opening fixture draw with Equatorial Guinea, before winning the penalty that decided their matchday two clash against the hosts.
“Osimhen with the help of the team can lead the Eagles all the way to the title,” Durosinmi continued.
“He has had a hand in the goals we have scored so far, he is one of the key players in the team.”
Meanwhile, Osimhen has been linked with a move to a raft of clubs in the summer amid an increasingly strained relationship with Napoli, who have made a dismal Serie A title defence.
The striker extended his contract with the Neapolitan side last month which is believed to include a release clause to be in the region of €120m.
This could allow the likes of the Blues or their London rivals Arsenal to acquire his services at the end of the current campaign.
The Nigeria international signed for Napoli in 2020, and has played 119 times for them, spearheading their charge to the Italian Serie A championship last season.
