Topfield College, Apapa are set to battle champions Dansol High School, Ikeja in the boys final of the 19th Doregos Inter-School BasketBall Championship on February 8.

Multiple winners Topfield College are also aiming for the double as their boys and girls teams both booked spots in the finals of both events.

In the boys semi-finals, Topfield College outplayed Doregos Private Academy 34-16, before Topfield girls ensured they recorded a double over Doregos with another easy win — 24-6 triumph.

The boys defending champions Dansol aim to successfully defend the title they won last year and will be hoping to make it three times lucky after they saw off hard-fighting Redeemer College, Sagamu 18-12 in the semis.

Greensprings girls returned to the final after a long absence from the podium beating Phidel College from Isheri Idimu 34-19 in the last four. They battle Topfield College in the final in what promises to be a potentially explosive clash.

In the third-place matches, Phidel girls tackle Doregos while Redeemer eye a first time podium finish when they play Doregos boys.

The organisers of the championship, which is in its 19th edition, say they are ready to host the best in the series of  the competition that brings together schools from Lagos and Ogun states.

The final comes up at the basketball court of Doregos Private Academy, Ayobo, Ipaja area of Lagos State.
