Former MFM FC defender Joshua Akpudje has completed a two-year switch from FK Panevezys in Lithuania to FK Jablonec in the Czech Republic.
The 24-year-old former U-23 defender spent two years with Daugavpils and was loaned out this season to Panevezys, before sealing a deal with the Czech football side until 2024.
Akpudje was ecstatic about the opportunity to move to Jablonec and expressed his readiness to give his all to his new club.
“Thank you Fk Panevezys for the opportunities, I’m grateful to everyone who stood by me, God bless you. Time for a new adventure,” Akpudje tweeted.
“Am so happy and grateful to God for this opportunity. This is the dream of every young player coming up to keep working hard to get better opportunities to serve in the future. I feel blessed to be here and it’s my time now to get back to work for the future. I feel the love here, the first day I met the coach, he made me feel like a son, the players are good.
“I have to give my hundred per cent so we can achieve what we want to achieve with the club,”  Akpudje added.
