Reims striker Folarin Balogun is excited to be on the scorers’ chart in Coupe de France debut in Red and Whites 3-0 win over Les Herbiers at the Stade Massabielle.

The 21-year-old, who is on loan from Premier League club Arsenal, recently recovered from a minor thigh injury and found the back of the net in the 37th minute of play after neatly converting a penalty before second-half strikes from Flips and Adeline finished the job.

Happy to score on his debut, Balogun took to his Twitter handle to express his delight at what he tagged a big win.

“Debut in the French cup! A big win in a difficult away ground. And another goal,” Balogun said on his Twitter handle.

Since making a loan move to French club Reim in August 2022, Balogun has been impressive for his Ligue 1 side and has scored 11 goals, two assists in 19 appearances across all competitions this season.

With 11 goals to his name, Balogun undoubtedly remains one of the hottest Nigeria players in the top five European Leagues so far this season.
