Nigerian winger, Samuel Chukwueze, will hope to continue his fine form for Villarreal by scoring his fifth league goal of the season when the Yellow Submarines takes on Real Madrid in a Laliga fixture on Saturday.

The 23-year-old has been excellent for the Yellow Submarine and has scored four league goals and created five assists this season.

Saturday’s trip to the Santiago Bernabeu affords the Nigerian opportunity to make his 145th LaLiga appearance and hopefully score his 20th LaLiga goal for the club since he arrived in 2017.

The game will also offer another chance for the Yellow Submarines to complete a double over the Los Blancos this season.

Villarreal have got the better of Real Madrid of late, unbeaten in their last three LaLiga matches (W1 D2 L0). Real Madrid are looking for their first league win in encounters between the two teams since May 2021.

The Yellow Submarine have outscored los Blancos 2-1 during their unbeaten streak.

The performances of Benzema have been influential for Real Madrid this season. The striker is their top scorer with 14 goals, which is the second highest in the league in 2022/2023, four of which have been the crucial first of the match.

Visitors Villarreal have been helped by José Luis Morales, Moreno, and Samuel Chukwueze, who have scored six, six, and four times, respectively.

In 13 LaLiga contests on home soil this season, Real Madrid are unbeaten with nine wins and four draws. In league matches on the road this season, Villarreal have five wins, three draws, and six losses.

In their last six league matches, Real Madrid have won three, drawn two and lost one. Villarreal, meanwhile, have won four, drawn one and lost one in their last six games.

Madrid’s Champions League hopes face their next test on Saturday at Estadio Santiago Bernabéu against a Villarreal side who are in position for a spot in next season’s Conference League Qualifiers but are seeking an upgrade to the Europa League.
