Africa’s football governing body, CAF, has announced a total prize money of $1,550,000 for the second edition of the Women’s CAF Champions League Morocco.
The second Women’s CAF Champions League hold between Oct 30 and November 13.
This is a step further from the last edition, which didn’t come with prize money.
The breakdown made available by CAF shows that the winners will pocket $400,000, while the runners -up get $250,000.
Teams who won’t didn’t go beyond the semi-finals would return home with $200,000 each, while the third-place teams in the group stage are entitled to $150,000 each. The bottom-place teams of both groups exit with $100,000 each.
CAF had earlier released the full fixtures of the tournament, confirming Moroccan cities Rabat and Marrakech as venues.
