Brugge punish Onyedika for insulting fans

Belgian champions Club Brugge will sanction midfielder Raphael Onyedika after he allegedly insulted fans of Antwerp recently.

Onyedika was involved in a duel in the league game, which ended in a goalless draw, and reportedly raised his middle finger to insult the fans of the other team.

The league organisers overlooked the incident, but not Club Brugge.

The nature of the sanctions has not been made public after the club insisted they will handle it internally.

Defending champions Club Brugge are fourth in the standings, 20 points adrift of leaders Genk.
