Real Madrid fans have taken a swipe at Samuel Chukwueze after the winger revealed he is focused on playing in Europe next season with Villarreal, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Chukwueze told El Pais newspaper that reports linking him with the Los Blancos were mere “noise.”

The 23-year-old is enjoying his most productive season yet in his professional career and scored 13 goals and provided 11 assists across all competitions in the outgoing season.

He was also outstanding against the Merengues at the Bernabeu, where he scored a brace and made an assist as Villarreal stunned their hosts 3-2 on match-day 28 of LaLiga.

And following his performance, Los Blancos are reportedly interested in signing the Nigerian but the report also revealed that the management at Bernabeu are wary of his physical condition.

“Real Madrid talk? This is noise, my dream is to play in Europe with Villarreal,” the 23-year-old said.

“They are like my family and the right thing would be to leave a good amount of money for the club.”

Chukweze’s contract at the Estadi de la Ceramica expires next summer.

Reacting to Chukwueze’s comment, @the_marcoli_boy stated on Twitter, “Not even good enough for Castilla team.”

@Adeleye13673967 stated that he would prefer Rodrygo playing the right side of Madrid’s attack than an “inconsistent” Chukwueze.

“I will rather prefer Rodrygo playing that right side of our attack, than seeing Madrid sign this inconsistent player.”

@RoastHimJim also added, “Well, well, Chukwueze, rejecting the allure of Real Madrid and embracing the thrill of Villarreal is dreaming big, I see.

“It’s like passing on a gourmet meal for a plain sandwich but don’t be surprised if your European dreams feel a tad underwhelming.”

@kendrickNoble7 also expressed shock at his ambition with Villareal.

“He thinks he’s him. I never knew that playing for Villareal will be someone’s dream. God Please he added with an emoji of laughter.

@MagicalModric00 also added, “Literally played his best match against us (Real Madrid) and drop stinkers for the rest of the season. Shame!

Fifth-place Villarreal face Atletico Madrid in their last game of the season and a win will seal a Europa League spot for the Yellow Submarines.
