Turki Alalshikh, owner of newly promoted LaLiga side, Almeria, has insisted that the club will not be forced into selling any of their players for a price lower than what they want, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

Nigeria international Sadiq Umar has been the target of several top European clubs following his impressive performance for Almeris in the last two seasons.

Sadiq has become one of the most important players at the club, playing a major role as the Rojiblancos secured promotion to the top division as champions of the Segunda Division after eight years of asking.

During his spell with the club, the Nigerian has scored 39 goals in 76 La Liga 2 appearances, also registering 19 assists in the process.

The 25-year-old’s impressive performance has drawn interest from several clubs in Europe, with Villarreal and Sevilla the most interested in the forward while Borussia Dortmund have also been linked with a move for the striker.

While interests from other clubs may have cooled off, the Yellow Submarines are still keen on signing Sadiq following the departure of Boulaye Dia to Salernitana this transfer window.

Despite the keen interest in the Nigerian, Villarreal are reluctant in meeting Almeria’s asking price of €30m for the striker.

Alalshikh, however, insisted that the club won’t be coerced into selling their players for a cheaper fee.

“We will not sell any player for a lower price than we deem reasonable!!,” the Almeria owner tweeted.

Former Roma front man Sadiq opened his LaLiga goals account on Monday in a 1-1 draw against Elche.
