Former Super Eagles midfielder, Waidi Akanni, has urged Lagos residents to support the Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu as he aims to take sports and other sectors to the next level in the state.
Akanni, a former Chairman of the Lagos State Football Association, stated this after he was commended by the management of the Lagos State Health Services Commission for his selfless support during the 2023 Inter-Hospital Sports Competition.
The letter of appreciation, signed by Dr. Sojinrin M.O, the LOC Chairman of the HSC Inter-Hospital Competition, thanked Akanni for his financial and moral support towards the success of the 2023 HSC Inter-Hospital Competition.
Responding to the letter, Akanni, who is the CEO, Match International Limited, reiterated his commitment to the betterment of the society.
“We need to support the government in its different programmes. We want to continue to support and align with the several life-changing programmes of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu,” he stated
