Super Eagles assistant coach Paul Aigbogun has been appointed new manager of Danish second division side Jammerbugt FC.
Aigbogun took over from Nabil Trabelsis, who said goodbye to the club recently.
The 50-year-old coach has previously been in charge of Nigeria’s U-20 national team, leading them to a round of 16 finish at the 2019 U-20 World Cup.
The former Nevada Wonders manager had in the past also managed Warri Wolves and two-time CAF Champions League winners Enyimba.
Aigbogun’s last club job was at Glacis United in the Gilbratar League in 2021, where he lasted only two months.
Following their relegation from the first division last season, Jammerbugt parted ways with their former manager and confirmed the appointment of the Nigerian, as they hope to make a quick return to the Denmark topflight league.
“Paul Aigbogun will take over from Nabil Trabelsis at Jammerbugt FC, who said goodbye to the club last week,” Flemming Dahl Jensen, head of security for DBU, said.
“He is good. When the players are so young and come with such big differences because they have such different backgrounds, it is important to have someone like him.”
