Adebayo Adeleye has signed a three-year contract extension with, Hapoel Jerusalem, and promises to play his part in bringing ‘more smiles to the faces of the fans’ next season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
The goalkeeper – who has made 80 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea since arriving in 2019 – will now remain at the Israeli club until the summer of 2026.
The new deal with the Premier League giants will see Adeleye land a pay rise, taking his wages to beyond what he currently earns.
In a chat with PUNCH Sports Extra, Adeleye says he feels very settled at the club and that he is pleased that the club wants him to be part of the project long-term.
Speaking about his new deal, the 23-year-old said,”I feel very settled here and have really enjoyed my time on the pitch here.
The keeper kept 10 clean sheets conceding 29 goals in the 28 games he featured in for Hapoel Jerusalem
“I’m very happy that an agreement was reached for me to sign this extension to my contract,” Adeleye said.
“I’m also glad that the club wants me to be part of the project long-term, and am very happy.
“We are working hard for success and I will do my best to bring more smiles to the faces of the fans who have made me feel so welcome since I arrived.”
The 23-year-old Nigerian goalkeeper joined Hapoel Jerusalem from Hapoel Katamon for £50m in 2019, signing a five-year contract with the Premier League giants.
Hapoel Jerusalem currently fourth Championship playoff round will host Maccabi Netanya on Sunday in their next game.
