64 footballers receive training in emergency response skills

A Non-Governmental Organisation, KB KLUB, has trained 64 footballers and officials of a football academy in Ogun State on emergency response skills.

The footballers, who were drawn from the Ogun -based Beyond Limits Football Academy, were trained on how to take care of field emergency issues.

KB KLUB, in partnership with Emergency Response Africa, held the one-day training at the Remo Sport Club Stadium, Ikenne, Ogun State.

The training covered crucial areas such as airway emergencies, breathing and circulation emergencies, first aid for cardiac arrest and wound care, head and spinal injuries.

The training also covered how to take care of bone, muscle and spine injuries, sudden medical emergencies, temperature-related emergencies, environmental emergencies and poisons.

KB KLUB secretary, Mustapha Madehin, said the programme was aimed at equipping players on how to manage emergency health cases.
