Dubai-based Gulf United FC recently donated two sets of jerseys and balls to Uratta Secondary School in Owerri North Local Government Area, Imo State. The presentation was made by one of the partners and veteran sports journalist Paul Ogazi at the school’s compound in Owerri.

Ogazi, a former presenter, producer and commentator on NTA Sports, said Gulf United and one of their coaches Marcello Anyawu, an old boy of Uratta Secondary School, believe in football and education, catching them young and supporting lads at the grassroots level.

The principal of the school, Rose Ngoka, thanked Gulf United, saying the students would be motivated by the new kits.

Present during the donation were the National President-General, Uratta Development Association, Stanley Ukaga; Public Relations Officer, Imo State University, Okenze Raph, Njoku Obi and Chief Gilbert Oparauwakwe.

In 2021 Gulf United were in Nigeria for a football talent hunt in Abuja and Lagos.
