As per Spanish sports daily AS, Villarreal CEO Roig Negueroles says Samuel Chukwueze is keen on playing for a big club in Europe or the Premier League.

Chukwueze has one year left on his contract and has been linked with a move away from the Yellow Submarine in the summer.

AC Milan have been mentioned as a possible destination for the 2015 U-17 World Cup winner, but nothing is concrete at the moment.

Negueroles admitted that the Nigerian winger, who has snubbed offers to extend his contract, will be sold in the summer transfer window if a suitable offer comes in.

“Samu (Chukwueze) is an extraordinary boy who has been with us for many years. It is true that he is keen to play for a big club in Europe or in the Premier League, and we have always worked hand-in-hand to improve him, and if this option came up, we would sit down and negotiate it,” Negueroles said.

“But it will be necessary to see if any beneficial offer arrives for the three parts. In this case, no offer has yet arrived, and he has one more year on his contract.

“What we are clear about is that if something very good doesn’t come along, he will continue.”

The right winger enjoyed his most fruitful campaign with the Yellow Submarine in the just-concluded campaign, registering 13 goals and eleven assists in all competitions.

The 24-year-old’s brilliant performance in Villarreal’s shocking 3-2 win against Real Madrid where he scored two goals was the best highlight of his season.

Chukwueze has made 207 appearances in all competitions, notching 37 goals and thirty-one assists since joining the first team of the Spanish side.
