Lorient striker, Terem Moffi, has been ranked the second fastest player in Ligue 1, behind Paris Saint Germain forward, Kylian Mbappe, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.
Mbappe also leads the Nigerian in the goals chart, having notched up one more than the six the Super Eagles forward has scored for Lorient this term.
The official website of the French Ligue 1 on Wednesday carried out a study on the Top 10 fastest players in the topflight, with two Nigeria internationals, who were in action in Tuesday’s international friendly against Algeria, making the cut.
The other Nigerian in the Top 10 is winger Moses Simon, who is ranked eighth fastest.
Mbappe, 23, who is known for his blistering pace, leads the chart after eight rounds of Ligue 1, and has clocked a top speed of 36km/h so far.
Moffi, who is much bigger (10m and 16kg) than the French star, is nevertheless a formidable sprinter, having clocked a top speed of 35.64km/h.
Montpellier’s Elye Wahi, who was the top-scoring teenager in Europe last season, is ranked third, having covered a distance of 35.28km/h this term, alongside duo Jonathan Clauss (Olympique Marseille) and Lille’s Jonathan David, complete the Top 5 with the same distance.
Olympique Lyon’s Karl-Toko Ekambi and Kévin Gameiro of Strasbourg are joint sixth with 34.92km/h while trio Simon (Nantes), Marseille’s Cengiz Under and PSG’s Achraf Hakimi are tied on eighth with a distance 34.56 km/h covered.
