Dessers to join Rangers for €5m

Cremonese striker Cyriel Dessers is set to sign a four-year contract at Rangers ahead of his move to Ibrox, according to Sven Claes.
The Belgian journalist, followed by the likes of Fabrizio Romano, has shared that the Nigerian will undergo his medical on Monday and Tuesday this week.
It is also shared that the Bears will pay just below £4.3m to get the deal over the line for Michael Beale and his new-look attack.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Claes said, “Cyriel Dessers (28) will leave Cremonese and sign a 4-year contract at Glasgow Rangers.
“Medicals booked today (Monday) and tomorrow (today). Fee: €5m. [£4.29m].”
Rangers and Beale have made it very clear that Dessers was their number one target, having chased him for weeks on end, now finally getting their man.
The Nigerian looked unlikely to make the move to Glasgow only a couple of weeks ago, but everything has changed now with things agreed and the medical booked.
This is a real statement of intent by the club, to bring in a player who topped the scoring charts of the Europa Conference League only two seasons ago.
Dessers will lead the line and hopefully make Alfredo Morelos a distant memory after his exit this summer alongside Ryan Kent, with moves made quickly to replace them.
Pre-season is getting underway this week, and it looks as though the bulk of the squad has already been put together in what looks like the perfect move.
